    it doesnt spread, but if one knee wears out the additional will go soon because the poor suckers are the same age.

    Arthritis is an inflamitory process where the body starts to attack itself so to speak. It doesn’t spread like a virus or bacterial infection but it can spread and progressively become worse. Look it up on line @ medline plus.

    Arthritis does not “spread” like an infectious disease. It occurs in joints that are ancient and injured where there is no longer the proper amount of lubrication and cushioning to protect them. Chances are if you have arthritis in one joint, you will have it in additional areas with aging. That is OSTEOarthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis is another tale.
