Yoga is the only thing I have establish to help with my back. You can pick up a cheap dvd and do it in your home.

stretch more. it might be you have strained a muscle in that area. or try alternative, low impact methods like yoga or pilates

    You should see a physician.
Take the following advice as just friendly advice, and not professional advice.

I have lower back pain sometimes, and I have establish that stretching my hamstrings properly always makes it go away. Conversely, when I stop stretching, the pain comes back after a few weeks.

When you stretch, be sure NOT to “bounce” (as in, stretch and relax quickly). Slowly stretch out, and hold your position till a count of 10, and then slowly come back.

One exercise that works for me is the following.
I sit on the floor with (say) the left leg extended, and the right leg folded in front of me (with the right foot touching the side of the left knee). Then I slowly reach out with my left hand and try to touch the left toe, and maintain the position for 10-15 seconds. Then I switch to the right leg (extending it and folding the left one). I alternate this 3 times in the morning, and if possible, in the evening.

We share a common issue and is most likely related to a disc issue in you lumbar region. In my instance, a car accident broke my back at the l4-l5-s1 part of my spine and resulting laser surgery fused those joints. Now, I am like a human barometer that reacts to weather changes. Don’t know why, but right.
When I get the pain issue, try this:
1)Sleeping on any side with a pillow between your legs.
2)Invest in an electric vibrating massager.
3)Apply that massage to the area of pain for about 20 min each nighttime before bed.
4)Keep active, by walking a lot.
5)After a few days or weeks it should start to cave in.
    Excellent luck!

Try laying flat on a firm go up with pillows piled honestly high behind your knees. That can take a lot of pressure off those lumbars and below. Remember that pain can cause spasm, which causes pain, which causes spasm, which causes pain. Sleeping flat on your back with pillows behind your knees has done wonders for me.

A non-cracking chiropractor did something AMAZING for me to fix my lower back…..after electro-stim, alignments, and all that, we made very modest progress. He placed his thumb and finger on any side of the extreme back of my upper mandible, pushed up into the outsides of my rear molars (WAY back there) and pushed, and squeezed, and massaged, while tilting my head back and walking me around the room. ABout one small of this, he removed his fingers from my mouth and I was CURED. Try a homeopathic chiropractor- the kind that works on lateral alignments of your legs and does NO cracking. Maybe hard to find but homeopathic might be the key word. The one I used was in Annapolis, Maryland, named William Boro.

I would sugust that you have an MRI done and read by a competent Doctor. If this is a disc. broblem you could be hurtful it worse with some of the things that your doing now. I am Not suggesting that you rush in to any procedures without carefull plotting. If you take up this now you might avoid more problems down the road. Goodluck Jim

Get a massage therapist. Nothing works better on your back then actual hands.
