NO! I do not agree with Wesley Clarke.
Wesley Clarke was fired by the Bush Administration essentially. Clarke was turned down for promotion to the joint chiefs of staff and forced to retire. He has carried a grudge against the GOP and Bush ever since.
He belittles McCain ( who was shot down on a combat mission divergent to your claims) because it now looks as thuogh the job Clarke really wanted will go to McCain who was not a general.
It is pure petty covetousness on Clarke’s part and is unworthy of someone who wants to be C in C.

I agree, McCain is a loose cannon. It is a fact that he collaborated with the enemy in Viet Nam. By his own admission he cracked under pressure. We do not need a Commander in Chief who can’t take the heat. Especially a ignorant warmonger like McShame, he has no honor. Just compare his voting record to what he claims to be for. He is any the most wishy washy politician ever or he just can’t remember where he stands. He has even voted against bills he has cosponsored. In the end only the very most ignorant will vote for him.

Whether McCain is leadership material if not is debatable but his military service and POW reputation would not give him any more presidential qualifications than someone who had not served or served in any other manner.

The two former POWs I have know were so messed up that they could not run their own lives much less a country.

Not that all POWs are that way. Certainly many if not most have been able to handle the PTSD. But it does raise some questions on when it can come back.
