What a handy modest device. While there are lots of modest massagers on the market, this one had a lot of cool features:
-just the right size (about as huge as a knob)
-the tip is really smooth to decrease friction (some massagers can “catch”)
-has this rubber material around the top where you grip it so it doesn’t slip around
-looks prettier sitting around than other massagers
So who needs one? Just about anyone with sore muscles. The thought here is that sore and painful muscles have modest irritable knots/spots in them, called trigger points, that cause pain. The cure? Rubbing them and working them out. While you could do this with your bare fingers, this can place a lot of stress on them over time and do hurt. Also, using this device will enable you to massage longer- a certain plus! Useful for everyday sore muscles, or when trying to get rid of a chronic problem, consider this modest tool- you won’t regret it. I really wanted to buy the more expensive metal tool that could have ice or heat in it but just couldn’t justify the price. Boy, am I glad I bought the Knobble II instead! Even though it doesn’t look like much, it really can get deep into those areas of your body that have knots and spasms. With just a light pressure, it really works them out. Before, I was virtually numbing my husband’s thumb having him do pressure point. His thumb would hurt and shake from having to push so hard. I would certainly recommend this product to anyone who has spasms or knots they want out. It can be used by yourself, but having someone else do it gets a better angle.

I was the type that really wedged my TV remote in places on my back – trying to get relief to those pressure points. Now I can reach them straightforwardly. I also use the edge to roll on sore muscles to massage.
If you are the type that can’t take pain on these areas, you wont like it. It is hard and really does the job at applying deep pressure to these points.

This product is a hand saver for trigger point work. This is a very small helpful tool, I have used it for self care as well in my job as a bodyworker for specific work-(fantastic for deep foot work). I highly recommend The Trigger Point Therapy Manual: Your Self-Treatment Guide for Pain Relief, Second Edition by Clair Davies, for those distress from chronic undiagnosable pain in conjunction with the Knobble. Trigger points may not be the problem for you, but I have had clients that have tried everything else, and are worried they will be in pain forever, and for many of them this has been a godsend in stipulations of pain relief. The Knobble is a fantastic tool- and portable and simple to use. I would recommend for self care having on hand 2 tennis balls and a racket ball, and the knobble. For those who want more the Thera Cane Massager or Body Back Buddy and travel size version of “The Stick” are helpful as well.

I bought this item to replace my “shiatsu hoop” I’ve had for about 15 years. I needed something to get into my shoulder blade area. It works fantastic. I lay on it in bed n rotate my arms to get into different areas. I also use it while in a chair (you need to ensure your chair can handle it). I dont just use the point of it, I use the edge to get inside certain areas. Its a sturdy product. I’ve had it for about a year and no problems (other than losing it lol). Its well worth the price.
