I like this. This is what I hope to look like someday.
As I know, Wu is the slowest form and Sun (“quick step taiji”) is the fastest, with Yang and Chen in between. It’s fascinating to see the pace intended for Sun style.
I am a recovered fibromyalgic who left the care of medical profession to find out the cause and cure of this horrific shape up, and I know this shape up from the inside and back out again. This is a excellent description of symptoms. Symptoms can regularly be mistaken for the cause, and treatments that help do not cure. Do not give up from disastrous hope. Keep going! This is a excellent performance! I have no problem with the speed, you should be able to vary the speed and still have a right performance according to the principles. This performance is by a person who understands tai chi, and Momnotmrs’s comment does not apply in this case, although agree that TCA is probably delivered by many health para-professionals who are not tai chi experts
rubbish !!
I’m really taking a class in this through the Arthritis Foundation, and I truly judge this can’t be taught correctly apart from by martial artists. My instructor has a background in dance, and she has NO thought of what the moves mean. Really, she tries, but I went online because the way she was the theater the schedule just didn’t make sense.
You are right, this is a quick version and not one I care for very much, personally. I was trying to show the pace Traditional Sun Style Tai Chi is typically performed. When I worked with Paul Lam, he knew straight away my main style was Yang because I went so slowly. We train and teach the forms much slower than this… Thank you for your feedback.
went so quick there was nothing there….really missing the point of sun style…probably should attend a update workshop!!!!
excellent posture!
