This is a very comfy flip-flop, and it doesn’t flop as much as some other “flops” that I have had. It certainly runs large. I regularly wear a size 8, but there is at least one inch sole extending past the end of my toes in this size 8! The thong does tend to irritate the toes just a smidge. I question whether there will be any noticeable benefit in firming and toning the lower body from wearing this particular shoe; but, it is cute and has a nice cushioned sole. The picture shown for the oyster color leads one to judge that it is a light tan or beige. It is not. It is certainly “white.”

If you like the ease of rubber flip flops but are smart enough to realize that flip flops offer your feet absolutely no protection or support….then these are the rubber thongs for you!
Fit Flops exploded on the scene numerous years ago with a marketing campaign that promised an exercized leg and a fabulously improved derriere by merely wearing a pair! Yeah, right! LOL! Dream on, Missy!
Ok, now that’s out of the way, lets give credit where credit is due by saying that these are extremely comfortable and supportive and not terrible looking any.
There are multiple models of Fit Flops. The Walkstar 111 model, which is relatively recent, employs a single piece of well padded leather that extends from the thong between the toes, up over the top of the foot, and is emotionally involved to both sides of the footbed. The leather top is more “rigid” than the grosgrain fabric bands of earlier models and seems to grant more support by preventing the foot from slipping as much from side to side.
The circular Fit Flop logo remains at the top of the instep but as a decorative, non-structural element.
The Walkstar 111 comes in many color combinations. I own the black patent and am quite pleased with them.
The footbed is the same as earlier models. It is 1 1/2″ high at the heel and is contoured to the shape of the foot. This contouring cradles the foot and provides exceptional support….for a flip flop….these do not take the place of normal shoes. These are not for long hikes, spiraling class, jogging, trekking, mambo lessons, etc.
In my experience, these are exceptional very casual shoes to wear around, go to the beach with, change into at the end of the day. I find them supportive, comfortable and comforting to aching feet. I also own an earlier version, the Walkstar, in Bronze. I’ve worn them for over a year and they’ve held up very well. I’ve worn them in the rain and they are none the worse for wear.
One caveat. They come in whole sizes only. I usually wear a size 7 1/2 but I wear size 7 Fit Flops. Some people size up, some size down. Try before you buy!

I have heels spurs on both feet and they are sometimes very painful. I must wear something on my feet at all times to support my high arches. FitFlops are my choice to wear around the house. If they exercise my legs and tush, as well I’m all for it.

This is by far the best walking flip flop ever. What I mean by this is that flip flops are notorious cute but known not to be the most comfortable if you need to walk distances or they do not support our feet if you are on them for a long period of time. The Fitflops are fantastic. You will never buy another pair of regular flip flops again. They grant so much support and are so comfortable. Instead of wearing hot closed in sneakers in the warm weather, the Fitflops grant the support and the coolness. They may not be as cute as some of the flip flops out there but they are the most comfortable. Go for the sequins ones or the patent leather black or bronze for more of a “fashion statement”. You won’t be sorry you bought these.

I broke my ankle twice last year and part of my physical therapy was done on a wobble mat. The midsole on these shoes are a type of wobble mat that make your ankles work to keep your balance. I can really tell a difference between my weaker ankle that has been broken and my strong ankle. You do have to work up to wearing these for an extended quantity of time as your legs will tire. I recommend them to anyone who wants to work on their legs while they go about their day.
