Any non-prescription treatment for chronic nasal inflammation?
Sο I һаνе chronic nasal inflammation, іt’s caused mе ѕοmе problems. Tһе doctor prescribed mе Omnaris, bυt I ѕtοрреԁ taking іt a wһіƖе back bесаυѕе іt’s expensive аחԁ I don’t Ɩіkе hearing mу dad whine аbουt money. Arе tһеrе аחу over-tһе-counter medications tһаt саח treat іt?
Saline nasal sprays, generics are quite cheap and might help some. Cool compress to your face also might help some. Do not use over the counter nasal sprays like afrin. You will feel better for awhile and then it will come back worse then before. Frankly, let your dad whine, if you need omnaris you should have it. It’s his responsibility as a parent to make sure you have what you need to feel better. If you have insurance that covers drugs, you could question your md for generic nose spray, your copay would probably be less than what it is for brand name drugs. I know trying to sleep is hard when you feel stuffed up all the time, I have tried to do without nasal sprays, it never really works as well as a prescription.
You can use bromelain, thyme and rosemary supplements. Also using a netti-pot can really help. These aren’t drugs or over the counter treatments, but they work naturally. you can find them in natural food stores or buy them online.
Sorry to hear about this inflammation. I know that can be problematic. There is a natural cactus juice product that may help, called Nopalea. I’m not sure how cost effective it will be, given your financial statement but it may prove helpful.
