I dont know but I would imagine that surgery may not be possible because of her age. In saying that the Queen mother had a hip operation in her 90′s. I suppose it depends on certain factors like how excellent is her health, Would she be able to withstand an operation..etc
U have excellent medicine in Ayurveda, like herbal oils. Try that if u want to avoid surgery.
Rheumatoid Arthritis is systemic disease (the whole body) so surgery could not really help. If say you had a/or really terrible knees, due to Rheumatoid Arthritis and your bone on bone, you could have a joint replacement. But that would only help the joints replaced and not even 100% of the time. I had one knee replaced, and it is much much better, but if I am on my feet for a long time (the time varies) it is painful as always.
Hope this helps.
