    GET TO A VET!

  • Jennifer:

take him to the vet, thats the only thing u can do

  • polly:

take him to the vet he might have a horrible disease

  • juliana m:

could be that he’s just being paid more mature. more grown up, and pass the puppy age.

  • Help:

If your pet is lethargic give him a dab of plain honey ,or karo syrup on its tongue, this will elevate its sugar level and keep it from apt lethrgic, make sure it is intake excellent,as this determines whether the sugar level gets low.

Take him to the vet and have his urine checked or bloodwork done.He could just have a urinary tract infection.

bladders get weaker when they are older…plus the medicine is prolly affecting him. Take him out more regularly. older dogs just dont have energy, my dogs the same way.

  • BJB:

You need to take him to a vet. He doesn’t sound so terrible but the peeing will be very distressing to him if he is a well-trained dog (not to mention to you who has to clear it up!)

This may be a very simple thing to cure, and you may be worrying needlessly that he is dying. If he IS though, better to take him to the vet so that he can be humanely ruined, rather than distress at home.

Any way, the vet is the answer.

I hope it’s excellent news. Best of luck.

This isn’t normal behavior. I mean, it’s expected in ancient age, but it’s still not excellent. Take him to a vet for a check up. Let us know what happens.

he has lived a long time, but may have quite a few years left. just remember to take special considerations for his age and arthritis. be sure he is comfortable and lucky. Just like him and do your best for him and know that he feels that like, and when he does die, that he had the best life possible, and all the like a dog could question for. Morn for a while, but after that reckon of him with only smiles. the memories should be your strength and happiness. excellent luck, and God bless.

also call the vet and see if these symptoms are side effects of the meds.

i reckon 13 is rather ancient for a dog, I am not too sure but i heard that it is. I feel really sorry for you, and I dont reckon he will die! But take him to a vet and maybe they can give him some medicines to make him better! My cat was on thin ice, but we took her to the vets and they can do wonders to animals and make them all better!

Your pup is being paid up there in years, but don’t write him off yet !!

It could be that he has a urinary tract infection – sometimes this happens. A vet is going to be able to give you a much better answer as to what is going on with him. The heat is being paid to my dogs too, and they are not as excellent-natured as typical. Arthritis in a 13 year ancient dog is not uncommon. But don’t panic! It’s best to schedule a stay to your vet.

Again, call your vet, make an appointment, and don’t panic straight away. Best of luck,

Take him to the vet to get a physical exam. It is possible that he has a lose of control in his back end, explaining why he cannot use his legs as much climbing stairs and why he has been urinating uncontrollably. he may have a slipped disc, which is straightforwardly fixed by surgery, but since he is an older dog, it isn’t positive to say that he would survive under general anesthesia. my best suggestion would be to take him to a vet and get him checked out.

  • DOG1:

its possibly kidney stones or its just his time and your time to say goodbye

My 11 year ancient lab was very lethargic due to the recent hot spell here. I plotting the same thing but all was well, I took him to the river twice a day and that seemed to offer him relief from the heat. 36degrees eh!
