He has fantastic potential, but his words and delivery are overly sentimental. He needs time. I hope his recent fame (Olympics) doesn’t stop him from writing and re writing HARD. He’s pandering a modest bit, and I hope that changes.
Absolutely AMAZING!
WOW!!!
I’m a 14 yr ancient aspiring poet…and have never been went as much as I have from this man.. There are no words to clarify him..wow..
1. this is incredible.
2. I missed the opening ceremonies! Damn it!
3. at least i was there to see this.
4. the modest girl at 5:18 is hilarious.
What a gift to have you share your gift… thank you
SOMEONE PLEASE UPLOAD THE OLYMPIC VIDEO, I have never heard Canada and Canadians summed up so perfectly
i seen this dude outside my house once
saw him at the olympic opening. Really inspiring
wow…wow
just seen him preform on the Olympic opening
He is the going to be insanely well-known literally overnight. You deserve each bit of the fame you’re going to get, Shane. Truly a Canadian treasure!
he was just in the olympic opening cerimony – he came to my teach too
I like him i saw him at UBC!!
i opened this video saying to for myself i wouldnt weep at this one like i did to all the others
absolutely incredible
I’ve spoken english my entire life, yet I didn’t know words could be place collectively the way he does.. and even though comprehending it is a mental process, I feel something in my body physically clutching itself each time I hear this.
I’m speechless.
This left me in floods. And by no stretch of the thoughts, it takes somebody so far further than a poet to speak so wondrously.
Shane why did you not talk like this in teach. you were sooo different, you were not like this, or did I not know you. remarkable
What do you say to that??
*stands and applauds (even if I were the only one in the room to do so)*
.. This just made me weep so much…
I saw him perform now, and it was amusing and all, but it wasnt touching as this.. Thank you shane
I saw him now, its wayy hairier now!
i listened to this album 20 times while driving down the pacific coast highways last summer.
Awsome
hardcore neckbeard
just watched tuesdays with morrie and this poem reminds me of that apart from its the young one who teaches the ancient guy about life
He is talking about lewis and how he belives in angels. Angels have wings, wings are made of feathers. He knows he wont be able to stay for long.
