Im assuming that you are now in remission considering that you say that you have been on meds since 2? I can relate, at 13 I came down with it as well and went on Gold Shots for about 4 years and I am now in “remission”. The terrible thing is (coming from a med student) is if you are not in remission and not currently taking meds, more likely than not, hurt will still occur in your joints. As far as I know (and I have been searching and researching!) there is no alternative EFFECTIVE treatments. For pain, if you wont take any anti-inflammatories (will pass into breast milk at very low levels), try warm compresses and stay away from stress(ha! I know, nearly impossible). If you’ve done the OT and PT, take up again with any therapy at home to keep mobility up. I know you were probably wishing for something else, but trust me when I say I’ve heard it all, from magnets, copper bracelets, fish oils..you name it! The only thing that has been scientifically proven so far is (judge it or not…is pregnancy!) medication and therapy. You can TRY to relieve some symptoms with the typical diets (no spicy/rich foods, not too much dairy and limited meats..high fruit n veggie intake and water)
I’ve also establish that rubbing the painful area lightly (produces heat/friction) helps some with pain and pressing the soft spot between the thumb and index finger (pressure points)
    Excellent luck

you need to first find out what is causing it, because you can be sure that this is not natural and there is a cause. Find a chiropractor in your area that does Total Body Modification, TBM. Through TBM techniques, it’s quite possible that they chiro can tell you what is causing the arthritis and what you can do to stop it.

I was just talking to a lady now that told me she cured her rheumatoid arthritis herself by cutting ALL dairy out of her diet – all milk, cheese, etc. She also cut back on protein a bit. She said she was amazed, but her arthritis went out of her hands and it hasn’t been back since. It’s worth a try to alter your diet like that and see if it helps, but certainly check into TBM. I’ve done it for my allergies and it works wonderfully for curing allergies – no joke! Cured of allergies to cats and dogs in 15 minutes!

Cut out refined sugar and refined carbs…you will benefit greatly. Drink lots of filtered water. Make sure you have filter in your shower head as well.

Two table spoons of cider vinegar mixed with a teaspoon of cayenne pepper. I then add about a quarter of a cup of water and mix thoroughly. Next I add a tablespoon and a half of baking soda. It foams up so use a very large schooner. After it settles I chug it down. I do this everyday and it appears to help with pain associated with inflamation.
Baking soda does wonders for many other diseases too…Just google “baking soda and arthritis” and you’ll see.
The more you question…the more answers you’ll get…the more knowledge…more power to you.

There’s lots of info on juvenile rheumatoid arthritis . Google search “natural remedies for juvenile rheumatoid arthritis “, “healthful food diet for juvenile rheumatoid arthritis”, “Beneficial Foods and Supplements for Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis”
Your best bet is to do alkaline diets. Just google search “alkaline diets” or “foods that are alkaline” and you will see. There’s alot of info out there and you’ll find the best for you.

    God Bless~

One of the safest treatments that has helped some and me with various health related issue is Fish Oil. Even if you find another treatment that helps or relieves your pain, use fish oil for additional long term benefit.

Here is an article I establish that got me on fish oil for my arthritis. I hope it helps, It has for me. The website probably has more information than I do but start here. Take the fish oil.

Arthritis Sufferers::Will Omega-3 Fish Oil Help the Pain?

If you suffer from rheumatoid or other types of arthritis, taking fish oil may help relieve the pain. Omega-3 fatty acids have natural anti-inflammatory activity, as opposed to omega-6 fatty acids which stimulate the release of inflammatory compounds. Omega-3 fatty acids are establish in fish oil; omega-6 in cooking oils.

Researchers have been studying dietary aspects that contribute to disease for a number of years. Yet, some doctors are still skeptical about suggesting fish oil for arthritis. Most mainstream medical practitioners still stand by the use of over the counter or prescription drugs, despite the adverse side effects and risk of liver hurt, as well as the kidney hurt that is associated with long-term use.

Common Sense Choice – Fish Oil

It seems illogical to choose a treatment that could cause health problems over one that solves them. Numerous studies have shown that the benefits of increasing intake of omega-3 fatty acids to those that suffer from arthritis include pain reduction, reduced morning stiffness and reduced usage of anti-inflammatory drugs. So, what’s the drawback? Why do doctors hesitate to recommend this therapy?

    Fish Oil Therapy Requires Patience

It could be because the benefits of fish oil supplementation are not as pressing as the effects of a pain pill. Most studies point headed for that it takes 4-6 weeks for omega-3 fatty acids and other nutritional therapies to have a noticeable effect.
Many doctors judge that people who suffer from arthritis will not have the patience that it takes to stick with a regimen that does not grant pressing relief. While it is right that some patients are non-compliant, it is also right that most people will do anything that it takes to improve their health. Doctors should, at the very least, tell their patients about all of their options.

    Increase Physical Activity

Being overweight is one of the things that place stress on the joints. Increased physical activity can help people maintain a healthful weight and really improves joint function. Swimming pool work-outs are ideal for those that suffer from joint pain. Yoga is also beneficial, as long as the patient starts at the beginner level and works at his or her own level of flexibility. Gradually, flexibility improves with increased physical activity and much joint pain is resolved.

    Follow a Nutritious Diet

In addition to taking fish oil, people with joint pain should attempt to go to an “anti-inflammatory” diet. There are numerous outlines available on the internet describing how to eat to naturally reduce inflammation. The foundations of these diets are fruits and vegetables. Most dietary stout should be omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-6 cooking oils should be limited. Stop frying; boil, broil or bake.

Choose the Best Fish Oil Source

You need to choose fish oil supplements carefully. They should be molecularly distilled to remove contaminants, such as mercury and PCBs. Distillation also concentrates the quantity of omega-3 fatty acids in the oils. If you try a supplement and see no enhancement after eight weeks, it is likely due to the quality of the brand.

Your choice of fish oil should grant a minimum of 430mg of omega-3 fats. Take two per day. You might also try a dietary supplement that contains glucosamine, chondroitin and conservational lipped mussel lipids. Those nutrients are highly beneficial for arthritis, too. And now, see the website listed below for more information on arthritis protocol.

Please stay http://www.XtendFishOil.com for the not compulsory source of Omega-3 Fish Oil and Nutritional Supplements that are cast iron to be safe and effective. A FREE Health Newsletter is available.

Again I reckon this may help. This company also has a supplement specifically for arthritis. I use it also.
