i don’t reflect you have cts. i have a minor case of carpal tunnel and my whole hand tingles. do you do something that causes your hand to be in the same spot continually? i mainly have cts because i play golf, play games, and surf the internet.

It could be carpal tunnel syndrome. Try tapping on the inside of your wrist. Do you feel electric tingling feelings going down in your hand? Try bending your wrist at a 90 degree angle and land that spot for one minute. Do you feel your symptoms after that?

  • coolmommy:

it’s probably tendinitis. You might try to ice as much as possible and take some anti inflammatory meds like ibuprofen. cts usually happens over time with repetitive motion.

  • fishineasy:

If you try all of the above and nothing pans out please have your doctor check you for rheumatoid Arthritis. Probably not, but you never know. Worth a small blood test.

It’s possible you may have DeQuervain’s Tendinitis. It can be very painful at times. It is a condition caused by inflammation of the tendons located at the thumb side of your wrist. They can become sore from over use or a sudden strain. The pain can be felt in the thumb and forearm. I suffered from this same condition for over a year.I had injections, therapy, braces, etc. nothing helped me but surgery. Sorry for your pain and hope you the best.

I went through this a few months back. Thought it was a torn ligiment, CTS, or maybe a broken small bone in my wrist. Went to the doc, who sent me for X-rays, then back for an MRI, then to an orthopedic hand specialist who told me that I had Kienbock’s Disease.

Never even heard of it before, so I went on-line for a look, and sure enough there it was. It is plotted as a Rare Disease (syndrom). I will place a couple of webpages here for you to look at.

Definately question your doctor about this possibility. It is not a fatal disease, and it is not progressive past the one bone (lunate) in your wrist..

Hopefull for you that it is nothing more than CTS. My best wishes to you.

If you should take place to have Kiendock’s, there is a assemble at Yahoo for people that have it.
