I am very very sorry for the loss of you beloved pet.. Losing a pet is like losing a family member because they are a family member. I havse had to go thru that many times and it never gets any simpler..

I’m sooooo sorry. I had a similar problem with my 11 yr ancient yellow lab. I spent months carrying his rear end around for him, til I could do it no longer. I lost him 4 1/2 months ago. They can run now and be free again!

i’m sorry to hear that; but if it makes u feel any better, u’re dog’s not suffering anymore & i’m sure he’ll permanently thank u for thinking about his needs first.

i’m soooo sorry. we lost our dog 3 years ago to something along those shape. she had a degenerative nerve disease in the base of her spine and eventually couldnt walk or stand. we had tried some meds to slow the progression, but it didnt work. eventually one morning my mom woke up crying cause smokey wouldnt get up to go out and just went to the bathroom where she had been laying and wouldnt even get up out of it, she also didnt know she had been laying in it a while since she had no feeling from her hips down. we had to have the vet come to our household and place her to sleep in our kitchen. needless to say that was the worst day of my life. i was 7 when we got her and she was about 15 when we place her down. it was like my sister and i felt so horrible. i still dredge up her yelping when they gave her the seditive before they uthenized her and i can still hear it over and over. she despised shots so much. we had another dog at the time, but she’s blind and obnoxious and we had to lock her in the garage during the ordeal and i still feel terrible like she didnt get to say goodbye either. she just came back in the household and tripped over smokey’s body and kept going like it was nothing. sometimes i wonder if she ever figured it out.

ok, well now i’m crying here at work. i’m so sorry again. its such a hard thing to go thru, just know you did the right thing. *hugs*

I am so sorry you lost your friend, I know how much that hurts, like losing a family member. But at smallest amount, as you said you won’t have to come home to an empty household, that will help a lot. Excellent luck to you and may God grant you peace.
